ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

One should be eligible with the below-mentioned age limitation and educational qualification in order to apply for this post.

Educational qualification:

Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Director of Horticulture must possess a degree in M.Sc.(Horticulture). Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Horticultural Officer must possess a degree in B.Sc.(Horticulture). APPLICANTS SHOULD POSSESS ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE IN TAMIL

Selection procedure:

Selection will be made in two stages

  1. Written examination
  2. Oral test in the form of the interview

The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained in both written and oral test.

Exam pattern:

1..For the post of Assistant Director of Horticulture.

The written examination consists of two papers. PaperI will cover 200 questions related to Horticulture(P.G. degree standard) for 300 marks and conducted for 3 hours. Paper II  covers 100 questions from general studies and again 75 questions from general studies in degree standard, 25 questions from aptitude and mental ability test in S.S.L.C. standard, as the total of 200 marks which will be conducted for 2 hours and the final interview will be conducted for 70 marks.

Total marks for the exam: 570 marks

Minimum qualifying marks for SC, MBC, ST, BC, BCM, SC(A) candidates: 171 marks

Minimum qualifying marks for others: 228 marks
